I am a woman who, after thirty years of abuse, gave myself a gift. That gift was a thought, and that thought was this, “There’s got to be a better way for me to live than this.” It was my willingness to believe this thought that changed my life for the better. In that simple willingness to entertain a thought that I never would have even considered before, I found the key that would unlock the door that stood between me and the life I had never before dared to imagine could be possible for me. The opening of that door led me to what is known as the "New Thought Movement,"I am now an ordained Spiritual Minister of Peace, an author, a poet, a speaker, and a mentor to those who are saying, "There's got to be a better way for me to live than this," and are willing to actually live the "better way" that DOES exist for them.
and I have been studying and practicing those teachings for more than sixteen years now. As a result of this study and practice, I no longer call myself a survivor of domestic violence—I now identify myself as a powerful example that those patterns really can be broken. I use my amazing story of growth and transformation to help others understand just how "a new thought" really does "create a new thing."
I am also... wife to a wonderful husband, mother of two beautiful children, and grandmother of two amazing grandsons, Michael and Gage!

Watch for "Ellen" in this video - you will see five of her at once, you will see her between RIM's legs, and you will see her seven feet tall (that would be me on my stilts) and dancing with RIM. We had an incredibly fun day that day! The song, "Perfect As I Need To Be" is by Ford, from his Psychonaut album and is used with his permission. Filmed and edited by Dennis Greminger, Jr.
